MAC Cosmetics - No longer Cruelty Free.
Recently we have been made aware that MAC are no a cruelty-free cosmetic company. MAC has been removed from the PETA Cruelty Free list and have changed their official statement to this;
“M.A.C has a longstanding policy to not test on animals, nor ask others to test on our behalf, except when required by law.”
Obviously, MAC is no longer a value based company considering the term ‘except when required by law’ means that they want to do business in a country that makes animal testing mandatory for the product to be imported and sold.
From now on we will no longer be purchasing or promoting MAC products.
We have written a letter and email to MAC and their parent company, Estee Lauder, urging them to rethink their new policy and go back to being cruelty-free.
